Parking Space Management

Lack of parking and a large amount of traffic in search of parking space. In order to deal with the problems of the conurbations, Siemens has developed solutions for efficient parking space management, including: intelligent parking guidance systems, convenient pay-and-display machines, and modern car park technology.

Pay-and-Display Machines

Siemens’ pay-and-display machines cater to both usual and special requirements:

  • Accept electronic payments

  • Environmentally friendly energy supply

  • High operating comfort

  • Maximum efficiency

  • Appealing design

This is demonstrated by more than 18,000 Siemens pay-and-display machines in over 20 countries all over the world.

The Siemens pay-and-display machines on offer comprise different designs.

Sitraffic SITY: the flexible high-end device

Sitraffic PRISMA: the innovative design with a striking appearance

Sitraffic SICURO: the standard device with an optional safety vault

All of our pay-and-display machines excel in terms of reliability, value retention and resistance to vandalism. In addition, the modern wireless networking to the control center allows data to be transmitted via GPRS or GSM.  All Sitraffic pay-and-display machines monitor themselves permanently and transmit the operating state, e.g. information about any lack of paper or a full till, regularly to a central point via the mobile phone network.  The operator can also use this radio data link to check his/her takings at the PC at all times.

Complete Solutions

Siemens is the competent partner for complete solutions in the area of car park management.

Complete Solutions

Siemens offers much more than simply state-of-the-art parking systems. Car park management with Siemens systems means full integration. Regardless the additional features required, such remote control for maintenance purposes and linkage to the car park parking-lot security system – they can, if required, become part of our optimized car part management systems.

We offer

  • Industry-specific solutions for  banks, hotels, and retailers

  • Complex solutions for airports, trade fairs, shopping centers

  • Total solutions for professional car park operators

Solution Concepts for Car Parks of all Sizes

With its standardized modular structure, SIPARK PMA can be used at any scale; however, its strengths become most apparent in more complex systems. This solution for entrance and exit control include:

  • barriers

  • entrance/exit control devices

  • pay machines

  • efficient car park management with a computerized control center

The core is data transmission via the Ethernet.

SIPARK SSD Multi Guide, our new system, realizes the parking space monitoring and control of vehicles and pedestrians – a highly flexible and cost-effective concept for car parks of any size. Its modular design uses standardized industrial components and system networks, allowing its configuration for project-specific situations at any time – from compact control for small car parks through to especially complex and integrated systems, e.g. also for networked projects such as airport systems, based on state-of-the-art CAN bus technology.

SIPARK PMA and SIPARK SSD add up to our innovative and modular total concept for optimum parking management administration. Together with the pay machines these systems also form the perfect data basis for effective parking space management, for example by their integration into a parking guidance system.

To ensure that our customers' requirements are perfectly met, we also provide all services required throughout the SIPARK lifecycle, commencing with planning through to web solutions.

Sitraffic Guide: parking guidance system

As much as 40% of inner-city traffic consists of vehicles looking for somewhere to park. The intelligent Siemens parking guidance systems help to achieve significant improvements in this area.

Parking without detours

Sitraffic Guide optimizes the search for parking spaces and thus relieves the pressure on city streets. In short: Dynamic message signs provide information to the driver on the current occupancy levels of individual parking areas and guide him/her along the shortest route to his/her final parking destination.

Parking Guidance as Partial Components

Previously, parking guidance systems were operated as isolated, standalone systems. However, communities are now requiring that such systems be deployed as part of a higher-level traffic management system.

Many Advantages

Such a dynamic parking guidance information system offers a whole range of advantages in urban traffic. These include:

  • better utilization and profitability of the car parks,

  • reduced traffic volume and environmental pollution and

  • a more attractive city and higher quality of life

Thanks to its modular design, our Sitraffic Guide parking guidance system is scalable with various applications and can be expanded from a basic system, and parking control center through to a parking guidance system with multi-user operation.
