Many factors can affect the operation of this system; for example functional limitations, obsolete software versions as well the improper operation of the system or even problems such as vandalism or damages caused by accidents. Software support wtih ASP

Professional traffic management is based on a constantly available and failure-safe IT platform that utilizes the latest software version.

Low Investment

For these support activities, Siemens offers an innovative solution: Application Service Providing (ASP). Use the extensive central functions

  • without having to invest in the customer's infrastructure  and

  • without having to provide own resources for IT support.

You are provided with selected parts of the Scala traffic computer, with the center being operated by Siemens AG, in the Siemens-owned computer center. A secure Internet connection allows customers to maintain full control of their system - a system that is scalable and and can be expanded at all times.

In general, Siemens provides the center services in the form of ASP. With respect to procurement and operation, the control devices themselves as well as the communication hardware and connections in the field device remain the customer's responsibility.

Energy Contracting

Investments in increasing the energy efficiency of traffic light systems and street lighting are also an environmental imperative.  This also applies in the area of traffic light and lighting systems. Modern Siemens technologies significantly improve energy efficiency.

Modernizations Necessary

Urgently required renewals were previously often postponed for cost reasons.  However, numerous traffic light and lighting systems have long since been in need of renewal and should be replaced by energy-saving and environmentally friendly systems.

Especially for systems such as tunnels or traffic signal installations which are relevant to safety, but also for economically viable installations such as tolling systems and pay machines, it is of essential importance to receive all required spare parts reliably and on time.

This is ensured by our efficient interfaces between ordering and logistics:
Within 30 minutes, spare parts are picked from the warehouse, packed and delivered overnight to locations (drop-off points) near the technicians’ operational base. On-call service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and also enables delivery on weekends and public holidays. To shorten delivery times to all cities in the world, we have relocated our spare parts warehouse to Frankfurt (Neu-Isenburg), which is near Frankfurt Airport.

Comprehensive Offer

Express logistics are not only available for spare parts, but also for complete controllers, for example when, within the scope of rectifying damages caused by accidents, an installation is to be configured according to the customer’s needs and tested and dispatched within hours.
