Siemens integrated services for the U.S. market offers light rail, heavy rail and commuter rail a variety of services ranging from individual parts to complete assemblies, overhaul of existing vehicle subsystems and accident repair. Technical resources to resolve sourcing requirements and rolling stock and infrastructure maintenance are also available to our customers.

In the locomotives area, we provide spares and service for the Siemens AC propulsion systems installed on EMD locomotives in North America. Siemens supports more than 1,600 locomotives operating at all Class I railroads today. Support ranges from spare parts supply maintained on site to on demand service or contract maintenance.

Service Rates for Siemens Transportation Systems Inc.:

• $80 per hour rate for labor (Production, Assembly, Quality, Scheduling, Commissioning, Testing)
• $130 per hour rate for engineering service and project management

We offer our customers technical and maintenance assistance by providing full time personnel on site to conduct analysis of incidents or shutdowns in an effort to shorten recovery time or to advise on corrective or preventive measures to avoid incidents that affect the systems availability.

Chicago O'Hare Airport Transit System (OATS)

Siemens worked with the City of Chicago to assist in the maintenance and operations of the Chicago Airport Transit System. The automated system provides about 80% of international travelers with 24/7 transit service between the domestic and international terminals. Siemens scope of work included technical support services, home office support and maintenance services for 2.6 miles of track, 5 stations and 15 trains.
