Siemens Mobility delivered 2 Smartron locomotives for Bulmarket Rail Cargo
- This is the second Bulgarian railway operator to choose the intelligent concept for expanding its locomotive fleet

Another Bulgarian railway operator choose Siemens Mobility's Smartron locomotives to expand its rolling stock fleet.
Bulmarket Rail Cargo EOOD is one of the three domestic companies that trusted the high-tech characteristics and reliability of Smartron locomotives. The two new machines were delivered on Sunday, November 15, in the city of Ruse, where the company is based.

Smartron is a pre-configured locomotive that combines all the advantages of a standard product with the proven technology of the Vectron platform, whose reliability has already been proven with more than 300 million kilometers of service. The model is available for Bulgaria, Germany and Romania.
With a weight of 83 tons, Smartron is designed for a standard track gauge of 1435 mm. The locomotives of the series for Bulgaria are offered for 25 kV AC power system operation. The maximum speed is 160 km / h. The locomotives have a max. power at wheel of 5.6 MW.
Earlier, another large Bulgarian company - PIMK Rail, a subsidiary of PIMK, purchased 3 Siemens’ machines from the Smartron series and together with its 3 Vectron locomotives, it already operates 6 machines from the X4-E-lok series.
In May, the state-owned company BDZ-Passenger Transport also placed an order for 10 Smartron electric locomotives, the first two of which are expected to arrive in December.
