The Wayguard DLX level crossing protection system has been designed for a variety of applications. Utilizing commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) products, this system incorporates a fail-safe coded mono processor and 2-out-of-2 I/O boards, achieving safety levels SIL3 and SIL4. Additionally, the SIMATIC components also offer high availability and low maintenance requirements

It boasts advanced interlocking capabilities, allowing integration with both main signal interlocking and monitoring signal interlocking systems.This provides greater flexibility and precision in managing railway traffic.

The modular design of the Wayguard DLX allows for easy expansion and scalability, facilitating seamless integration into existing customer systems. This design also supports a user-friendly diagnostic concept, enhancing operational efficiency.

Wayguard Simis LC: the fail-safe microcomputer system

This advanced level crossing system is based on the Simis ECC, which serves as the standard system for the Wayguard Simis LC, as well as for Trackguard Simis D, Trackguard Simis W, Trackguard Simis IS, and future interlocking systems. With an integrated axle counting system, Simis LC allows complex applications.

The Wayguard Simis LC is compatible with all traction types, ensuring broad applicability across various railway operations. It has been developed and approved in accordance with CENELEC safety integrity level (SIL) 4 standards, guaranteeing the highest level of safety and reliability.

The system is designed for lines with permitted speeds of up to 160 km/h, with an optional extension to 200 km/h.

Additionally, th Wayguard Simis LC can be integrated with a road signaling system (BÜSTRA), providing seamless coordination between railway and road traffic.

The Wayguard SIM 6/13 barrier drive is an environmentally friendly system that operates without hydraulic oil, making it ideal for installation in diverse regions. Its adaptability is proven across various climatic zones, from arid deserts to snow-covered areas. The elevated design of the drive housing effectively mitigates issues related to snow drifts, flooding, or sandy environments. Additionally, it is compatible with all standardized control and power supply systems.

This Wayguard SIM 6/13 is suitable for extensions, replacements, or modernizations of existing systems. It accommodates bearings for both round and rectangular beams and offers customizable opening and closing times. End positions are detected via internal limit switches, and the system can withstand wind forces up to level 10.

The Wayguard SIM 6/13 includes boom and torsion-resistant poles and can accommodate booms up to 6 meters, with options for booms up to 10 meters. It is equipped with emergency closing, boom braking detection, and boom lights for diverse applications.

Additionally, the system is compatible with several level-crossing systems, including Wayguard DLX/BUE S7 and Wayguard SIMIS LC.
