Let your freight cars talk to you wherever they are
The Controlguide CTmobile system transmits freight car and train information in real time to dispatch centers, train operators and maintenance staff for efficient logistics and route planning. Through constant monitoring, CTmobile helps to prevent theft, damage and accidents while contributing to high-quality transport documentation. It records different status aspects – for example, humidity, and temperature or door opening statuses – of the car. And informs you as soon as an incident occurs. This increases efficiency, safety and transparency in freight transportation. How does the cargo telematics system operate?
The CTsensor (mounted outside, preferably front side on top a freight car) transmits sensory data to the CTmobile telematics unit. The telematics unit records the GPS position and transmits it to the CTcentral server application along with the sensory data. Individual and aggregated status information can then be monitored and analyzed via secured web access or automatic e-mail or SMS alert.
