Siemens Mobility Serbia, Hacon and the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure of the Republic of Serbia have signed a contract for delivery of the railway timetable creation software TPS.plan which will set the foundation for the digitalization of Serbia’s railway infrastructure and at the same time expand the Siemens Mobility portfolio in the region of the Balkans with software business. 

TPS.plan software, developed by the Siemens Mobility subsidiary Hacon, will take public rail transportation in Serbia to a new level. It will support maximum utilization of the railway infrastructure and short-term adaptation of timetable to the needs of the train operating companies and the conditions on the route.

 "The application of the software will improve the overall competitiveness of the Serbian Railways, both employees and passengers, will feel the benefit. With the implementation of this project, the Government of Serbia continues to improve the railways with the ultimate goal of railway transport becoming the backbone of the further development of traffic in Serbia", said Goran Vesić, Minister of the Construction, Transport and Infrastructure in the Government of Serbia.

"Having in mind that we are building a 21st century railway, it is necessary that it is accompanied by a modernized timetable. Therefore, the software, created by the renowned company Siemens Mobility, will greatly help in the endeavor that our railways, with their structure as well as with all other segments, follow the future of the railways", said Vesić.

The CEO of Siemens Mobility Serbia, Matthias Hermann Koch, expressed the satisfaction with signing of the contract and thanked for the trust expressed when it comes to the implementation of this software. Moreover, he pointed out that this system is modern and reliable and highlighted that Siemens Mobility, having become the largest company in software development and digitalization of railways, can offer further sustainable and reliable solutions for the improvement of the railway infrastructure in Serbia.
