Travelling to our Manchester office
Sir William Siemens Mobility House is located in a mixed commericial and residential area four miles of the city centre.
All visitors must report to reception in Sir William Siemens Mobility House. All visitors are obligated to comply with the company's policy whils visiting Sir William Siemens Mobility House.
Travelling by car:
If you require a parking space for your visit please advise your Siemens Mobility host who can secure this for you as there is a booking system in place to request parking space.

Travelling by bus from Manchester town centre:
The bus services from Picadilly Gardens are: 99/101/104/105/109. Request that the bus driver drops you off at the Princess Road/Nell lane stop. The Siemens Mobility site is directly behind the bus stop. The entrace towards the front of house is approximately a 60 metre walk along Nell Lane.

Travelling by train:
Manchester Victoria and Picadilly stations are both a 20-30 minute taxi jouney away. East Didsbury is the closest train station. The nearest metrolink stops for Siemens Mobility Manchester site are:
-Withington, on Princess road (0.8km, approximately 10 minutes walk)
-Burton road (1Km, approximately 12 minute walk).

Safety Information
Security
Sir William Siemens Mobility House is open for business between 8:00am and 5:00pm Monday to Friday. If you are working outside these hours please inform security. Security is provided 24 hours a day, 7 days a week throughout the year.
Health and Safety
A range of appropiate processes and procedures are in place to manage health and safety on site. This includes:
-Fire arrangements- please make sure you understand the required evacuation protocol.
-First aid arrangements
-Health and safety notice boards
Fire Alarm
The fire alarm is tested every Tuesday at 09:30 in SWSH and at 10:30 at the REEC. If the fire alarm continuous to sound then you must evacuate the building.
Sustainability
At our Manchester office iwe arededicated to ensuring we are being as sustainable as possible. Some of the ways that we have implemented this is through:
- Omniflow lights in the Car Park
- EV chargers are available on site
- Plastic cup free site
- Single use plastics are being phased out
- 100% of waste produced doesn't go to landfill
- The 4th floor has an intelligent lighting solution that switches on over a desk that is being used and monitors desk usage
- The rest of the building has sensor lights that adjust their LUX level depending how bright it is
- Our on site Alan Turing building has BREEM and LEEd certification from when it was built
New Reception Area
The reception area in the Manchester office has recently been fully refurbished with a new customer lounge and a new employee wellbeing area.
Beehive Restaurant
The Beehive restaurant is located in Sir William Siemens Mobility House (SWSH) and serves hot and cold food and beverages.
Serving times are: Breakfast: 08:00-10:30; Lunch: 12:00-13:45
The coffee shops is located in the restaurant and is open 08:00-15:30
Cash and card payments are accepted in the Beehive restaurant.
Our links with the city and the local area
The Triangulum Project
The Triangulum Project aims to develop cities for the future by focusing on Energy, Mobility and ICT. In Manchester they aim to remodel Manchester's Oxford Road Corridor into a 'Smart Quarter'. This will be achieved by partnering with Manchester City Council, University of Manchester and Manchester Metropolitan University. The purpose is to decrease energy bills and carbon emissions, reduce peak demand on the power network and increase the use of renewable and low carbon energy within the city.

Halle Orchestra
We have been supporting the Halle Orchestra for over 20 years. Since 2011 we have been Major Sponsorshp partners. Our partnership with Halle Orchestra allows us to find new and innovative ways to link engineering and music. We were able to develop the Halle's Arts Based Training programme that has allowed us to establish the Halle Corporate Choir Competition.
Siemens Mobility is also proud sponsor of the Halle Conductor Competition which seeks to provide a talented and emerging conductor with a platform to develop their skills on an international level.
University of Manchester
Siemens Mobility has partnered with the University of Manchester in 2014 to launch a technology partnership. The partnership allows students to learn about advanced technologies in the chemical industries sector. The University is equipped with Siemens Mobility's distributed control systems' that allows students to learn about advanced process automation.
Manchester Metropolitan University
Siemens has partnered up with Manchester Metroplitan University to offer them a connected curriculum at postgraduate level, they are one of five UK universities to be offered this. There is also available 6 masters degree that allow students to learn and use the latest industry 4.0 equipment.
Siemens have also partnered with Manchester Metropolitan University to work on a project called the Triangulum.
Science and Industry Museum
We have partnered with the Science and Industry Museum in Manchester to create Pi:Platform for Investigation. It is a monthly event where families can discover together the cutting-edge research that’s happening right now and how it affects our lives
