Big data: Using mobility and schedule data effectively

Whether collecting, importing, harmonizing or analyzing planned and real-time data, we have the right tools.

TPS.integrate

With TPS.integrate, mobility and timetable data from various transport providers can be brought to a common basis. The web-based application, available in the cloud, automates data processing and ensures that all import and export processes run flawlessly.

HAFAS.realtimehub

Our subsidiary Hacon has developed the HAFAS.realtimehub to exchange real-time information. The system ensures that real-time data integration between mobility providers is as easy as possible. The multi-client application supports all common data formats and allows users direct access to the exchanged data.

HAFAS.analytics

From forecasting the expected number of passengers to demand-oriented analysis of network coverage — the anonymized data from the mobility apps contains valuable information. With HAFAS.analytics, transport providers can evaluate the data and thus obtain concrete answers based on travellers' behavior.

HAFAS.analytics gives operators detailed insights into the performance of their transport network - in real time.

Occupancy prediction

Alongside many other customers, the Rhein-Main-Verkehrsverbund (RMV) uses our algorithms to predict capacity utilization. Passengers can use the information displayed in the app to decide whether they want to switch to alternative connections. At the same time, the provider has the opportunity to optimally adapt its service to the expected demand.
  • The predicted vehicle occupancy is displayed in a pictogram
  • The forecast is based on passengers' connection requests
  • By using enquiry data, the forecast reacts early to events or disruptions
  • All data is used completely anonymously and does not allow any personal conclusions
  • Counting data from subways, trams, buses etc. are used to calibrate the forecasts

HAFAS.analytics - mastering the challenges of mobility planning:

Understanding transfer relationships

Where are the most frequently used transfer points? Which transfer relationships are important and when? Where do travelers have to wait a long time? Are there frequent delays for important transfer connections? HAFAS.analytics also helps to identify and optimize important transport hubs.

Detect disruptions in real time

How are current disruptions affecting the transport network? How many travelers are involved, and which measures promise relief? With our analysis tools, the effects of disruptions can be identified in real time. Countermeasures can be developed quickly and in a targeted manner.

Plan events

When and where will bottlenecks occur in the mobility network? From which directions do most visitors travel — to a soccer game or concert, for example? HAFAS.analytics provides transport operators with important information for capacity planning.
