Siemens Mobility has signed an agreement with Indigenous capacity partner, Ganbara Facility Services, to deliver integrated facilities management, supported by ServiceFM, across three offices in Victoria and Western Australia. This partnership represents Siemens Mobility’s continued support of local suppliers and the procurement of First Nations businesses to drive Indigenous engagement and workforce participation.

Head of Procurement for Siemens Mobility Australia & New Zealand, Glenn Millican, said that “Siemens has been in Australia and New Zealand for over 150 years. Through the years, we have provided infrastructure that is accessible, sustainable and reflects the communities we live, work, and play in. As such we are proud to be the largest organisation within the rail industry to partner with Ganbara and ServiceFM. Our engagement with local suppliers such as these, alongside other First Nations owned businesses, is a strategic decision that demonstrates this commitment, strengthens our supply chain, and enables us to contribute to our broader goal for reconciliation and cultural appreciation.”

Effective immediately, ServiceFM and Ganbara will provide planned preventative management of cleaning, electrical compliance testing, fire services, first aid, hygiene, HVAC, pest control, waste management, and electrical and plumbing maintenance.  This partnership endeavours to uphold Siemens Mobility’s corporate and social values, which includes providing clean and safe work environments for its employees.

ServiceFM’s Managing Director, James Pollock, reinforced the value of the partnership between the three entities, stating that “We are delighted to join forces with Siemens Mobility to deliver a comprehensive suite of services to elevate their workplace environments. We look forward to delivering our high-quality facilities management model to service spaces that inspire productivity, collaboration, and well-being."

Established in 2016, Ganbara is committed to driving change and lowering the divisions and inequalities that exist between non-Aboriginal Australians and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people by providing them with employment opportunities and an improved quality of life.

Together, ServiceFM and Ganbara Facility Services support the communities in which their clients and employees live, work, and play through the development of respectful, meaningful relationships with Indigenous communities, their workforce, and the services they provide.
