What we do

Capabilities in providing Telecommunication Systems

Siemens Mobility capabilities to design and deliver telecommunication systems cover a wide range of services, such as voice, data, and video (CCTV). Siemens Mobility capabilities support the design of any switching and management infrastructure, traffic and network planning and resilience in support of the overall system and service availability requirements.

Our Radio Communication Capability

Antenna and Frequency planning

Antenna locations and frequency awareness planning has been used on the Siemens Mobility Thameslink High Capacity Infrastructure and also on the Crossrail projects.  The PCR/ESN system describes the network technologies and frequencies bands used by the Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) to deliver cellular services to the general public and the Emergency Services. The emergency services will use the PCR/ESN system upon successful migration. The PCR system has been designed to provide coverage in accordance with Joint Operators.

GSM-R

Siemens Mobility provided the original nationwide GSM-R radio planning for Network Rail and developed the Radio Planning Guidelines documents for both surface and tunnel coverage for Network Rail as well as the Antenna Installation Guidelines document for trains for RSSB.

Siemens Mobility capabilities to deliver Radio system designs cover a wide range of services, such as GSM-R, LFEPA & Airwave emergency services systems, Siemens Mobility overall design capabilities support the design of any safety critical track to train data & voice and management infrastructure, traffic and network planning and resilience in support of the overall system and service availability requirements.
