The Digital S-Bahn Hamburg project is the first in Germany to realize digitized rail operations with passengers. The main objectives of the project are the conception and realization of highly automated driving on a 23 km long section of the S-Bahn Hamburg as well as a fully automated, driverless provision at Bergedorf station.
