Autonomous tram Potsdam – research prototype on the rails
On the way to smart and autonomous trams: The research projekt has been successfully presented at InnoTrans 2018 in Berlin – while visitors could gain live insights at demonstration rides in Potsdam.
Avenio Qatar – received Awards
Siemens Mobility low floor tram for Qatar Foundation's Education City with an excellent award-winning design: The Avenio Qatar was honored with the Red Dot Award in 2017 and iF Design Award in 2018 and German Design Award 2019.
Avenio Munich – extremely high driving comfort and popular
Local measurements indicate that the Avenio Munich reachs the comfort level, which ranks as very comfotable according to DIN EN 12299 standard. According to a passenger survey, 47 percent of passengers rate the Avenio Munich as “very good” and another 50 percent as “good.” Drivers are also enthusiastic. ULF Vienna – lowest entrance height in the world
The ULF (Ultra Low Floor) Vienna tram system from Siemens Mobility has the lowest entrance height in the world, at only 19.7 cm. By 2017, around 330 of the approx. 400 trams in Vienna were ultra low floor trams.
Portland S70 – the first Siemens Mobility low-floor light rail vehicle in North America
In 1995, Siemens Mobility delivered the first low floor light rail vehicle in North America for Portland.
