34 subway stations, 42 kilometers of automated tracks, 92 metro trains: Singapore’s Downtown Line is one of the world’s longest fully automated suburban subway lines. To ensure smooth operation, Siemens Mobility engineers designed and delivered a digital Rail Enterprise Asset Management System (REAMS) to monitor rail asset performance, costs, and risks.

One country, one shared mobility platform. This is the vision of Spain’s state-owned railway company Renfe which we have put into reality, together with our partner NTT. The new MaaS platform integrates train, bicycle, metro, bus, car sharing, and scooter services for a seamless, nationwide intermodal passenger experience.

For the 1.8 million people of Vienna, the subway is the most important means of public transportation. Around 39% of all journeys are made underground, and the trend is rising. In order to be able to meet the growing demand in the future, we are supporting the expansion of Vienna's subway network with a total of 34 new trains. These "X cars" are the first subway trains ever to be equipped with the Passenger Information System Plus and allow driverless operation.

DS3 (Distributed Smart Safe System) is the world’s first platform to securely make signaling applications functional and operational on standardized hardware. This means that specially designed hardware is no longer required to control an interlocking – instead, operation is controlled via the cloud. What this looks like in practice is demonstrated by our new digital interlocking architecture, which we have put into operation together with ÖBB in Achau, Austria.
